I am a confirmed and unabashed chocoholic, and I am anti-diet by philosophy. (Not by necessity, however. I saw the Good Eats Tofu episode, and decided to give Tofu a try. This pie turns out very well. It holds its shape much better than regular chocolate pies that I have made, and don't soften up the crust when a little is left over.

I exchanged the coffee flavor (which I don't care for for almond extract. I think next time I'll try Chambord, because I put a little raspberry topping on it to sweeten it up a bit. The chocolate taste is a little dark for me, I'm a milk chocolate person myself. My husband (dark chocolate person loved it, and was very surprised that it had tofu, and my 4 year old son LOVED IT!!!

    So...tofu....who knew?

An incredibly enjoyable pie! The texture is light and the chocolate flavor is rich and very satisfying. We especially love this recipe since we can serve it to our vegetarian friends, but it's great for carnivores too. Try it--you won't be disappointed!

The kids loved it. I couldn't get them to eat anything with tofu in it until I made this recipe. They couldn't resist the lure of the chocolate and ended up loving it! Thanks Alton!

was really great texture, altho a bit bitter for some in the family, i wonder if you put half and half with milk choc chips and semi-sweet chips if it would appeal to more people.
was really rich and yummy altho i learned not to tell anyone it contained tofu!!!

    thanks for the recipe

I thought this was going to have a weird taste but it actually turned out pretty good. If you don't tell anyone they won't know there's tofu in it.

I made this for my family and they all loved it! My dad said that it was the best chocolate dessert he has ever had, and that's saying a lot! It was well worth the time!

This is the best use of tofu I have ever seen. I have tried my share of tofu and have to say that it is not a favorite. I can take it or leave it. This pie, on the other hand, is fabulous. Smooth and creamy chocolate to die for. Excellent.

This is the best Chocolate Pie recipe going! It has a cheesecaky, lush flavor that is not too sweet. I also have made this with Chambord and it is super! Alton, you are a genius!

Easy to make and tastes great but it was too runny. I used silken tofu but I think the brand of tofu makes a difference. Next time I will try it with the silken tofu in the box.

This pie is out-of-this-world incredible. I think the whole world should eat this pie. I normally hate to be sneaky, but I am going to bring this to my office and not even mention the "T" word to my co-workers. Brilliant, Alton.
