My husband and I are trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle and with this recipe we will never miss the real thing. My husband was shocked when he heard that this pie was made out of tofu and wasn't a regular cheesecake. My brother-in-law who never eats anything low fat devoured most of the pie.

I added just a little shredded coconut for extra flavor and texture.

This is a really good dessert, but it is very dense and rich. A small slice will be plenty.

I make this for vegans & non-vegans, and it's always a hit. Sometimes I use espresso instead of the liqueur to cut down on some of the sugars. I also make my own crust out of all natural grahams or Newman's Own Organics chocolate wafer cookies, either pulsed with some canola oil in the food processor. Top with berries for a great chocolate treat. Another quick note, I have found that if I double the tofu to make more pie, I don't necessarily need to double the chocolate. Otherwise it's too chocolately, if there is such a thing!

I loved this recipe, and it is great for vegans. Though it's not quite as healthy once you slather it in whipped cream, my preference!

For about a year now my middle sister has been a vegan. The rest of my family, especially my mother has sacrificed alot to accomadate her with special meals and snacks. Cristina has never been all that big a chocolate fan but the moo-less pie is one of her favorite things to eat. The only problem is she has to guard it from the rest of us.
