Rave reviews when I served it to my family, even my brother who really dislikes mushrooms. I didn't make the actual cake, I just served individual crepes with some mushroom filling. The crepes were a little tricky to master, so I suggest if you are serving more than 6 people, double the crepe recipe...I totally trashed the first 2-3 crepes before I figured out how much to pour in the pan, how much butter to use (I used non-stick spray and this worked really well, etc.

My husband and I are vegetarians and are always looking for new recipes for holidays like Thanksgiving. This year I made this for the main dish, and followed all of the steps except making it into a cake. We just ate them like regular crepes. The mushroom mixture had a lot of flavor without a lot of fat (I was surprised to use milk instead of cream, for instance, but even more surprising was the amount of flavor in the crepes alone. I will be making this again, and not just for holidays.

This was my first crepes made on my own and it was a fast and easy recipe, I loved it. I added chopped sage and the flavors, just popped out.

I tasted this in an NYC restaurant where it was called Mushroom Napoleon and vowed to recreate it. This was such a breeze to make and it tastes absolutely unbelievable. Ihttp://images.foodnetwork.com/webfood/images/myrecipebox/submit.gif

altered the recipe slightely by adding an additional 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 1/4 cup of provolone. It made the mushroom mixture even creamier.

Family and friends can't get enough of this--because I eat most of it! A real treat, learn to make crepes (it's a snap after the first two and impress 'em all with a really good dish. Fun, easy, great looking.

This is one of the best ones that we have ever tried! My wife and had to fight over the left-overs, so I would reccomend that you make two!

This was delicious!!!!I made it for my wife just they the recipe said - w/ one slight adjustment: I added a little brandy. The only thing I'd do different next time, is to use sherry instead.

Very good recipe. Never made crepes before, and they turned out just fine. As for the duxelle mixture, it was excellent.

Ihave altered this to make it as individual crepes with the mushroom mix inside. It's easier to serve and always a crowd-pleaser. They have become a requested recipe at our yearly Christmas brunch.
The crepe recipe is so easy and can be modified with sugar and vanilla to use for dessert crepes and filled with cream cheese, topped with fruit.

Recipie was a success on the first try. Might try blending the filling after making to create a smoother texture.
