I haven't had much luck with pie crusts before, but this one is easy, and the cornmeal lends a great texture. Although I rushed it and goofed....I forgot to put in the sugar....and let it get warm....and didn't roll it thin enough; it still turned out very tender and flaky. I substituted Southern Comfort for the apple juice to give it that "what's in here" kick. Great jog AB

While the process for the dough was a little involved, the results were spectacular!

This was so good. Easier than using a pan, rustic looking and delish. Will make this many more times.

Yum! I will definitely make this one again. The out-of-season pears at my grocery store were looking pretty shabby, so I used Granny Smith apples instead. In hindsight, I would use less vinegar, as the apples are more tart than the pears. The vinegar leaves a tart flavor which contrasts well with the sweetness of the blueberries.

It was great. I learned a better way to make my pie. Now it tastes better.

Had trouble with the crust. It was much too dry. The filling was very good though. Will try this recipe again though.
