Seriously though - it is so much better than the powdered dip you mix with sour cream - SO MUCH BETTER! This is so easy to make and everyone that I've made it for (which is a lot of people just inhale it!

I enjoyed this recipe and will definitely make again pending a few changes:
    1. Dice onion smaller than recipe calls
    2. Cook a little longer for better caramelization
    3. Use one sweet yellow & one white - the dip was way sweeter than I prefer onion dip to be
    4. Add a dash of hot sauce & cayenne pepper for a bit of kick

I will definitely keep tweaking this to suite my taste, and I will not buy store-bought again. Yum. :

I love caramalized onions, so this sounded good, and I followed previous reviews and doubled the onions. I wish it had a bit of an acid in it. I think next time I make it, I might add some worcestershire sauce to add a little zing.

Both simple and delicious! This dip is VERY good. I "took it up a notch" by tossing some diced bacon (1-2 strips in with the onions about 3/4 way through carmalization, then using a hand blender to whip it. People fall over when they taste it on a Kettle chip.

A most excellent dip. This is far better than anything you'll buy at the stores.

This was a very good onion dip, but I felt that it needed a little more concentrated onion flavor, so I put a few dashes of onion powder in there at the end. Everyone loved it.

I made this with non-fat plain yogurt (instead of sour cream and lite mayo and it was AWESOME! I used 2 cups of onions per other reveiwers and it was great!
