I liked the flavor, but agreed with other reviews that it wasn't very "oniony." So I used an immersion blender which smoothed out the chunks and noticed a much stronger onion taste. I probably didn't chop the onions fine enough. Also added a splash of worchestershire sauce.

No reason for store-bought onion dip with a recipe like this. It is sooooo easy, and I always have everything on hand that the recipe calls for. I've made it several times and it's always a hit. Mmmmm as a matter of fact, I made some last night before bed and put it in the fridge to chill... and now that I have been talking about it, I don't think I can wait any longer! Chips and dip for breakfast?? :

This was okay. I wouldn't make it again but the folks at the party I took it to seemed to enjoy it. I would recommend making this the night before as the onion gets very pronounced during its time in the fridge! I made it a few hours before the party and thought it wasn't "onion-y" enough.

Awesome! Took it to a friend's house for a dinner party and everyone loved it! I definitely recommend leaving it sit in the refrigerator overnight. It still tasted pretty good after sitting for only a little while, but it was PERFECT overnight. Will definitely make again!

Very Tasty! Upon making it initially, I thought of changing the recipe up a bit because I wasn't sure it had quite the taste I was looking for but decided to leave it alone and let it sit over night. So glad I did, because it was perfect exactly as recipe stated. Everyone loved it including my son, a Chef, who took a copy of the recipe.

Talk about the best dip ever! Caramelizing the onions give a deep flavor to this dip. I chilled overnight to give the onions time to dip to develop fully. This is the only onion dip to serve! No more pre-packaged dips again!

Took awhile to properly caramelize the onions, but the finished product is well worth it.

This was sooo easy and a great hit. After I made the dip and let it sit, I decided to double the onion amount. It made the dip even better!! Everyone ask for the recipe.

Seriously? Who would have thought? This is amazing and I will never buy processed poison onion dip again. I was looking for a healthier alternative for a dip to go with the veggie tray and I've found it. I also used homemade mayo (takes 5 minutes and easier to make than you think it would be and I think that had to have made this dip even better. Would give 10 stars!
