Wow- Alton's awesome. Follow the details- don't skimp on any of the directions. The slow rise, the fridge time, all important. My favorite part next to eating them, is punching down the dough- you'll see what I mean. Prepare to amaze your friends. Yowzah.

As a novice baker,I found this recipe easy to make. They came out wonderful! The height was great and the icing was so sweet and gooey. They were nice and rich. My husband had 3 as soon as they came out of the oven! My 3yr old only seemed interested in licking off all the icing from his roll!!! I will definitley make these again!!

Used rapid rise yeast b/c stores did not have instant yeast. Turned out dry and tasted like a dry biscuit. Tops were not browned much after 30 minutes. I'm sure it's more my fault, but for the time and effort this took, it was a major disppointment.

These were fantastic! The only thing I did different was to add 1/2 tsp of vanilla to the icing. They rose perfectly.

These cinnamon buns are sooo easy to make (although time consuming... but the result is worth it!!. The texture and flavor is great, not to mention they make your house smell great. I've made these for my family and for work and they keep begging me for more! I think it's better than the cinnamon buns at the mall because they have a lot less butter and don't taste super sweet. A must make for anyone with a stand mixer!

Well, I am a huge fan of cinna-bun, you know the place in the mall. The thing I like best about them is they are light and fluffy. these buns seem to be more heavy, harty. I cound not get my buns the size of Alton's. I dont think the yeast worked very well. Any how, they taste great but alot of work needs to go into them.
