With the eggy dough it reminds me of brioche. Absolutely delicious.

Usually I bake the refrigerated/ready to bake kind and this was my first attempt at making my own. They were perfect! My kids loved them, I'll never buy pre-made again.

Quite delicious. I think quality ingredients also make a difference. Here in Bulgaria, I could only find dark brown sugar (which is wonderful by the way, if that's what you have! and regular quality cinnamon, which was yummy, but I am looking forward to trying them with a better cinnamon. Watch them carefully in the last 10 minutes of baking if you are unsure of your oven. Even though I have a thermometer keeping my oven at the right temp, my rolls were done at about 23 minutes.

My dad went for seconds (which means he liked it a lot a lotta, and said they were the best he had ever tasted. Same with the rest of my family. I also had fun making them. Thanks Alton!

I have made a variety of cinnamon rolls over the years. This is by far the most delicious. I made some coconut filling and used it instead of the cinnamon /sugar filling for a yummy variation. The result was a sumptuous sweet roll. Thanks Alton for this wonderful recipe.

The dough took about an hour and a half longer to rise than what was said, but I was patient and I am so glad I was. They turned out perfect. They are definitely the best tasting cinnamon rolls I have had and that is saying a lot since it was my first time making them. They are perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Easy to make and so good. I've made these twice and had fantastic results. I don't generally like to make anything you have to knead or roll out and avoid any recipes calling for yeast. I watched Alton make these and am so glad I tried them. No problems at all!!! The hardest thing is waiting for them to be done.

I made these last night with a few substitutions. 2 C bread flour and 1-1/2 C white whole wheat flour. Didn't have buttermilk so just made sour milk with my 1% and vinegar. I halved the filling and for the icing I used 6 oz cream cheese and only 3/4 C powdered sugar (I don't like to lose the cream cheese flavor. These cinnamon rolls were awesome! Moist & sweet! My kids said they were the best yet. And by making these subs, I reduced the calories from 462 to 320.
