fast, simple, and delicious! I added some red and green bell pepper pieces to the skillet and they made a nice side dish

I burned my hand so bad on the skillet I had to go to urgent care. That being said, I was gonna get a good dinner out of this fiasco before I left. The steak was pretty dang good and it was so easy, minus the melting the skin off my fingers.

This was great. I plan to use this cooking method many times in the future. The steak was perfect. Great contrast in crispy outside and soft inside.

Next time, I will remember to season better. Don't leave out salt and pepper.

Amazingly good. I followed all instructions exactly as given. The best ribeye i have had yet. Next time I will marinade the ribeye for a day before cooking.

I think this was an awesome recipe. It worked as advertised and was so easy.

I thinly sliced some manchego and put those slices on for the last minute in the oven. And while I was letting the steak rest under the foil, I put a little water in the pan and scraped the stuff off the bottom, and when the rest was over I poured this sauce over the top.

I seasoned and oiled the ribeyes and wrapped them in plastic as the came up to room temperature (1 to 2 hours. Following the recipe was easy. I stole an idea from another of Alton's recipes and added butter to the steak as it went into the foil. I let the steaks sit for eight minutes before slicing. It was amazing!

Tried it for the 1st time today. These were the juiciest steaks I've ever cooked at home.

outstanding! I've done the preparation over a dozen times now and it always produces a perfectly cooked med-rare steak with a flawless crisp on the outside. Off to the kitchen now... my rib-eye awaits.

Seriously delicious! I made the mistake of trying another recipe that was not from food network and it was pretty much a disaster. Tried this one and landed it the first time. I followed the instructions EXACTLY as given and it tasted wonderfully! Cant wait to cook it for my sweetheart when he comes back into town.

The easiest, bestest way to cook a steak. Remember to bring the steak to room temperature - for a steak this thick, it might take an hour or more to take the chill off - so plan ahead. :
