My family enjoyed these waffles. I made them exactly as directed and they turned out great. I do question the prep time indicated on the recipe, however. It takes about 5 minutes to make the waffles and one recipe resulted in four batches of waffles with a cooking time of 3 minutes each. At most, the total time should be less than 20 minutes. The 35 minutes indicated would lead the reader to believe that these are much more complicated than they are.

I never would have thought the sour cream could make the waffles so creamy and unique. Very, very good. Yet, not hard to make.

Quick batter to put together. Texture was moist, light yet dense (almost like an airy cake. I added a touch of honey to balance salt, and used 1/2c whole wheat pastry flour which worked nicely. I will make again, maybe use this batter for pancakes.

These waffles were easy to make, but weren't anything special. If I were to make them again I would add a touch of sugar (they weren't sweet at all and I wouldn't chop the pecans so finely.

This recipe was really easy to make and the waffles were very light and fluffy. I was very skeptical at first when I had to use sour cream, but they turned out very well. I will certianly use this recipe again.

Easy, delicious breakfast, with just maple syrup and butter -- or warm apricot jam -- or canned sliced peaches with a pinch of nutmeg gently warmed in a saucepan. Shut Up!!!

Thank you for this awesome recipe and the added options of pecans and icecream. These waffles were so light and fluffy and we ended up freezing some of them for another round of "Good Eats!"
