I used Butcher Thick Cut Hickory-Smoked bacon. While the dish was tasty, I didn't taste the pecan. I'm wondering if the bacon was too thick or if I didn't put in enough pecan. I also took another's suggestion and baked the bacon at 350*. This is definitely worth making again. Thanks, Alton.

This is so addictive!! I made a full batch & silly me left it out to cool while I ran to the store. I came back to find that my daughter & boyfriend had eaten all but 2 pieces. Thanks a lot guys = It's so good I'm making another batch right now. I agree with another reviewer that 350 is a much better temp for this, 400 is too high.

awesome...Oh My Word! Ice cream will never be the same! I don't watch the Simpsons, but my kids and hubby said my facial expressions and drooling looks just like Homer when he is indulging in doughnuts.

This is amazing!!!! I made it for a friend's party. I was going to arrive late so I made it up and sent it along with someone else. When I arrived at the party I had 4 or 5 marriage proposals.

My only advise, 400* seems too long for my oven. 30 minutes at 350* for the first round and then 10-15 minutes at 350 after the praline mixture is added seems to work best in my oven.

This recipe rocks! I have a 7-yr old who is picky picky about food. Well, what 7yr-old isn't? I made this one morning, and amazingly he loved it. He asked for 3rds.THen asked if we could have it every day. I almost fell off my chair!! Never got him to eat bacon before. AB, you top our list in getting him to eat, he loves to watch the show and always tries what AB does. Keep going please..

As we watched this show, my man drooled over this bacon recipe, and then suggested we try it on a B.L.T. For something so simple it was a genius idea!
A savory sweet twist on an old stand by. We bumped it up a bit more with the addition of avocado, and it was just delicious!

For those of us who consider bacon something to be smothered between layers of paper towels in the microwave, give this recipe a chance, and you will be rewarded. I'll admit, even though I'm an avid AB-head, it sounded like a lot of work for, well, bacon. It is worth it. Get the bacon near crispy before laying on the brown sugar. My whole house would eat this for a main course if I had enough racks to cook it all at the same time. A great Sunday Brunch option. Very easy, exceptionally yummy. And you can entertain your diners with tales of how sodium reacts with the taste buds, and you will soon be legend. Thanks AB!

Though it sounds a little strange, this is an amazing recipe. You get a smoky, salty flavor from the bacon, a nutty flavor from the pecans, and then a melt in your mouth sensation from the sugar.
