I'm a Clif bar fanatic--the only bar I really like--and these are better. Soy protein powder is not the same as soy flour. I found it in the bulk foods section of my local mega mart and was able to buy the exact quantity I wanted. I made the protein bars AND the granola bars at the same time and the whole thing took less than two hours. Easy, good, and economical.

Some of the ingredients are a little pricy (the dried cherries and blueberries but it is still so much cheaper bar-for-bar to make these. They actually taste good too! I took these camping and they were great for hiking. The granola bars from this episode were just as good and a little more portable. I will never buy a Power Bar again!

these taste great and are so much better for you than the over-processed storebought kind! a variation might be to leave out the fruit and add chocolate chips. =

I tried this protein bar recipe and I don't know if soy protein powder & soy flour are the same thing but...it was horrible. A big doughy, nasty mess! I hated to waste money on all the dried fruit. Will keep searching for better recipe.

I found this recipe refreshing to all of the not-so-good for you protein bars. I like the fact that it doesn't try to taste like a candy bar. It's perfect right after a workout so that I don't inhale the contents of my kitchen when I walk in the door. This is healthy, tastes great and is so convenient. I enjoy playing with the add-ins (different berries, nuts, and seeds it's great every time.

After trying to eat so many commercially-made protein bars and having a very unsatisfying experience, I was amazed (and pleased to see AB's show with this recipe. I couldn't wait to make this recipe, and wasn't in the least bit disappointed.
AB, thanks very much for coming up with this! Keep up the good work!

These were outstanding. Soft, but stayed together. The fruit was great and the natural peanut butter gave it a great flavor. Eating them everyday!

After spending way too much money and suffering thru various chocolate imitations this bar is a god-send! It isn?t exactly a brownie ? but well ? it?s a million time better than commercial protein/power bars.
As a side note ? I tossed in some mini-chocolate chips?YUM!
