This was my first attempt at polenta and I must say it turned out excellent! AB's recipe was very simple. I could'nt resist adding a few chopped mushrooms to the onions and a bit of fresh thyme in with the garlic...good eats!

So good & easy to make. The only addition I made was to saute' some mushrooms with the onions & then proceeded with the recipe as written. I sampled some while it was still in its soft stage & prefer it over the solidified stage.

This polenta is just delicious! My intention was to fry it the next day, I'm afraid there may not be any left. I've spent the evening slowly whittling away at it. I'll be making this often!

Great basic polenta recipe. Very easy and delish. I used about 1/2 less butter and it was just as good.

I absolutely loved this recipe and it was so easy. This was my first time trying polenta, and I cannot wait to make it again. Delicious flavor and creamy texture. Thanks Alton, this IS good eats!

I always thought polenta was pretty dull stuff. Not any more--I've made this a half-dozen times in the last month and every batch has been delicious and perfect. Thanks!

This reminded my husband of his mother's very southern cornbread dressing. Turned out well. How do I know if my saucepan is oven-safe? I didn't know, so I transfered it to a casserole dish for the oven portion...
