My family went crazy for this! I made this according to the recipe except I used ground beef and be sure to strain the grease. very flavorful with the rosemary. Easy, and you can use instant mashed potatos if you're really in a hurry.

My family loves this. Its cheap and easy for our family and I think its the best thing I've ever had.

My oldest daughter even helps me make it.

Thanks so much for this, Mr. Brown. We will continue to stalk your show.

I sexed up my meat with a mixture of GB and hot sausage, mixed in a few more veggies. And since I like spicy used taco sauce instead of tomato paste. Home run! made about 3 lbs worth looked like a meat loaf not a speck left. This is a real cool approach to Shep's Pie

Such a simple recipe for Alton Brown, and so good! I think it would be nice to try it with mushrooms as well. I skipped the egg, in fact I never even noticed it in the recipe. And I used ground beef instead of lamb. This is a perfect recipe because I had all the ingredients in my pantry, fridge, or herb garden. I will definitely make this again!

This was a simple recipe. I used steak instead of lamb and it came out great! I also didn't include the egg it suggested but was just fine without. Very simple recipe. Thought it would make more then it did, all fit into a pie pan.

I was not planning dinner this evening and had plenty of spuds, burger, and frozen veggies from our garden (corn, broccoli, carrots in the freezer. That made it even better. I as well used the whole can of tomatoe paste due to the fact I had frozen our veggies in larger quantities. Used dried herbs instead and used more chicken stock due to the larger volume of everything I had used. It turned out great.

For my husband to say "make this anytime" is a compliment. He loved it. Thanks for a great recipe that is very versatile.

I've made several different recipes for shepherd's pie. This one is one of the best. The gravy texture was really tasty and the little bit of fresh rosemary was perfect with the lamb. The whole family loved including the finicky children.

Its hard to find recipes for the whole family, especially when one of them is just learning to eat real food! This one was great for everyone, mom , dad ,and baby!! It is easy to make and everyone loved it.
