I was intrigued by the avocado/sardine on toast presented on this show and since I love both avocados and sardines I decided it was something I wanted to try. Great way to eat sardines. Very filling and healthy. I would recommend cutting it in half for one or two servings. The other avocado half can be preserved by spreading a light coat of mayo then wrapping in cello wrap. Use only one can of sardines.

Great recipe...what a logical and simple approach to healthy eating. Broke my leg at Brianhead ski resort in Utah...bummer. (My cabin is only 10 miles from ALTON Utah! But, a great opportunity to get my eating under control. Where can I get a closer look at Alton's blackboards of eating rules? It went by too quickly.

Please, AB!!! I guess at least some of us weren't taking notes as you flashed the series of blackboards with how often you do (or don't eat/drink various things.

More than the recipes, if I recall correctly, these do's & don'ts are probably more important to successful weight loss than the particular recipes you shared with us in this episode.

Please post this information on this episode's Web page. Thank you!

Recipes are great, but it does not explain the four categories that Alton used to lose weight. Those quick flash cards should be included.

I really wish I loved fish, or at least able to stomach it but I just don't. I guess I was born without that taste bud. Please provide an alternative to fish for those of us that are fish-disabled. Every single ingredient in all of this episode's recipes are delicious and totally do-able for an every day 'diet'. Thanks for finally providing a diet that I can stomach! And thanks for all the education, you're my Mr. Wizard!

This makes four servings, any suggestions on what to do with the other three if you're cooking for one. I can cut this in half easily, but I still have an extra serving and avocados don't last and the sardines are only supposed to set for up to one hour.

I agree; sardines make a great substitute for tuna - especially in pasta dishes. I am always looking for new ways to use them so this recipe will be a real treat.

I'm making this this week. I eat sardines mixed with mustard and cayenne pepper, spread on toast about once a week. These little fish taste better then canned tuna and are better for you. It's about time the food network starts including them in their programming.
