This is the best lamb dish I've ever made or eaten. Have served this dish to friends and family and have received nothing but raves about it. Don't eat red meat often but when I do, it's lamb and this recipe.

Easy to prepare, tastes strong but ends up flavoring lamb perfectly. Best leg of lamb EVER!

I made this for my family for Easter. I was delicious and easy to do most of the preparation in advance. Will definitely do again.

Tastes like the traditional lamb roast. Quick, and easy. Great flavor.

What is it with Alton? He never, and I mean never, seems to fail at providing me with an EXCELLENT recipe! Everyone I was planning on serving this to said they had eaten lamb before and couldn't stand it...NOT ANYMORE!!! They wanted the recipe! Alton...you rock!!!

Fabulous flavor! For those of us who are oven roasters, there were not enough instructions as to the grilling. For instance, I have a gas grill, and I needed instruction as to the temperature of my grill. Also, moving the coals was a great challenge. I totally charred the outside of the lamb, but the inside flavor was fantastic. I will attempt this recipe again.
P.S. I had no mint, but fresh basil was a perfect substitute.
