These are not really like cracker jacks. Theyare amazingly good. They will last for days in a ziplock, if you can keep from eating them. This is a new favorite party recipe for us!

Vety good, love the mix of sweet and salt! Make sure as soon as you get butter mixture to 250, mix FAST. It sets up very quickly.

I am not a novice cook, this recipe was difficult. The syrup hardens immediately upon pouring into the bowl of popcorn, its impossible to toss/stir to coat. You will need a commercial size mixing bowl to avoid making a big mess. And your pans will need to soak for awhile as the harden sugar is tough to clean. The taste was good tho, very caramel-corny. I couldn't stir it enuf to get the nuts incorporated. The baking step seems unnecessary to me. I had 2 sheet pans, one I baked and one we ate as is...no difference in taste or texture after baking. All in all, best off buying commercially made caramel corn.

Best ever sweet popcorn snack. Great with peanuts, but I can't wait to try it with some other kinds of nuts. Thanks, Alton.

The texture and taste is so much better than the old CJ standby that I don't know that I'll ever buy it again. I'm already planning to use this recipe for my holiday party and sub cashew halves in for the peanuts. Really, really, REALLY good.
