These biscuits were absolutely delicious. However, the dough was so soft and sticky that it required a lot more flour just to make it minimally workable. The result was an over-worked dough, 5 servings lost to what stuck to everything, and biscuits which didn't rise properly.

Ok so I had to register just to leave a comment for these biscuits. They are that good. I am an avid lurker in the shadows but I had to make an appearance for these babies!! Light, fluffy, delicious. Crispy outside, soft and moist on the inside. Absolute perfection!!! I live alone and ate half the batch myself when pulled them out the oven.

Very good, although I had no buttermilk and only 2% milk. It was time to experiment!!! So how about 3/4 cup sour cream, 1&1/4 cup 2% milk (by the way I doubled the recipe. ***Home run*** Only 4 stars though, they are just biscuits :

delicious! instead of using a biscuit cutter, I shaped the dough into a rectangle and used a cold knife and cut the dough evenly into squares leaving no left over dough to have to shape into tough biscuits. try it...

Super easy--- made them tonight on a whim because I happened to have all the ingredients they were very good. They are like potato chips, can't eat just one! This will be saved in my recipe box--- absolute do again!

These were really easy to make and turned out awesome! Will definitely make again! I added some chopped green onion to them for extra flavor. No more canned biscuits for me!

WOW! These are great biscuits, light and fluffy. They are easy to make, but as Alton said in this program, they can be a bit messy to mix. You really do need to "de-bling" (thnx Guy! when you mix the dough. Remember to have fresh baking soda and especially baking powder. I re-heat them by slicing them in half, buttering each half and putting them in a low-temp fry pan. I am eating them with a savory dish, but can't wait to see how they are sweet. I was wondering if anyone has added cheddar cheese or scallions to them. Alton has come through once again! Keep ‘em coming AB!!!
