Simple. Easy. Delicious. Perfection!!! Thank you Alton, I used to boil my crab legs... wasted energy and flavor. The only thing this recipe needs is a good wine, some warm drawn butter, a good friend to get messy with.... oh, and a wet cloth to clean up after the deliciousness!

I have been drooling over the commercials on TV for a certain chain restaurant. They are having their crab promotion this month . Then I saw your show about steaming crab legs in the microwave ..... here's where your genius come in....your simple instructions involve just popping the crab in microwave, 2 minutes, then, Viola, juicy, sweet crab. So I thought I can do this and bought the biggest King Crab legs I could find and mentally challenged you and was up for the challenge.
WOW! Sweet, juicy, the best I ever ate crab legs and I fixed them with the sprig of dill (who would have thought!
and clarified some butter, had mayo with Old Bay seasoning and was armed with my claw clippers and kept thinking that was the easiest meal I have ever done and now I am a GENIUS to, thanks to you.

I had purchased crab legs just hours before I saw your show. My plans were to boil them. OOH BABY!! My crabs were extra delicious prepared your way. I am a diabetic and now I have a new healthy tasty meal to add to my options. Thanks Alton:

My mom uses the paper towel method all the time when she pops something in the microwave. Who knew Alton Brown would use it also? Absolutely brilliant.

This method of steaming crab claws is perfect. I would have never thought to do it this way until seeing it on TV. With that being said, I figured that I should try this in a microwaveable steam bag and the results were just as great. Just pop the claws or legs in the bag, add some butter/margarine, parsley/dill, Old Bay seasoning (if you like and cook for a few minutes. I see now that crabs that are boiled/steamed in the pot are bland and tasteless. But with this method, not only is the crab flavorful and moist but the clean-up is even easier because you just toss the bag after you're done!!

The most tasty & tender crab legs I've ever made. Almost didn't include the fresh dill - that would have been a big mistake, it was a perfect complementary flavor to the crab legs.

I was soooo intimidated buying and cooking anything like this, even though I LOVE seafood. Thank you so much for teaching me how to enjoy this at home at a fraction of the price. I'm going to venture out and try some other receipes! I feel so empowered!!!LOL!

This recipe saved Mother's Day! We had never cooked King Crab legs before, and my mom requested them for Mother's day. I was afraid of ruining this expensive treat, so I did some research and found Alton's recipe. It was easy and the crab legs came out perfect!! Trust the 2 min time. Another bonus, we took each packet and before it was opened, used a hammer to crack the legs with no mess. Thank you Alton for saving Mother's day!
