    Nothing but compliments and questions about how to do this dish. I've substituted the panko with store bought Italian breading and it worked out just fine. Moz cheese is also a hit. Don't be afraid to use different mushrooms also. All in all, a big hit!

    I think we all forget that Alton has a huge prep staff and unlimited budget. It took far too long to make this and the software costs were way too high. The recipe needs a kick to it. Bland.

    I made these for my husband - varied the filling a little - usued parmesan cheese, italian bread crumbs, feta, spinach, garlic, salt... my husband was in love!

    I think this would have been a better recipe if it was a little more Italian. I didn't really care for the flavors of the different mushrooms or the Panko. Would have done portabello, onion, Italian bread crumbs, Olive Oil, onion, and maybe some cooked diced eggplant...

    I enjoyed making these tomatoes. I love the flavor of these. I 'am always looking for new tomato recipes, and this one is a keeper.
