These are probably the softest sugar cookies I've ever tasted, I added a splash of vanilla to my second batch because my first batch came out just a little too bland for my families tastes, wonderful either way though! I almost ALWAYS use Altons cookie recipes, he's never let me down.

I took these cookies to a family Christmas dinner and they disappeared. I was asked repeatedly for the recipe. This is a GREAT sugar cookie recipe. The royal icing is a must also. Thanks Alton!

These are more like shortbread cookies, but we love them! They were extremely easy and fun to make. I took someone's suggestion to add 1 tsp. vanilla. Also, we're not icing people so I used my grandma's trick: a little egg yolk/milk mixture to stick sprinkles on. These are our new Christmas cookies.

Extremely easy to make. Cookies remain moist despite being an all butter recipe. Still getting rave reviews and requests to share the recipe!

This was a very tasty cookie. Nice texture, delicate flavor. VERY nice. In fact, my husband, who hates sugar cookies, had FIVE, 3 before frosting and 2 after. I actually prefered the cookies w/o the Royal Icing (too sweet my husband prefered it with. To get an idea of the kind of people we are, he LOVES buttercream frosting, and I prefer whipped cream frosting.

Not what I expected from Mr. Brown but I did like it.
