This has been the only taco seasoning I've used for a year or so now and I will never go back. I like to do batches of it measured by weight, usually in 1 ounce per part. That way I can go to a store with a self serve spice section and measure out the ingredients before purchasing.
Here is the ratios for the ingredients.
12 Part - Chili Powder
6 Part - Cumin
4 Part - Cornstarch
4 Part - Salt
3 Part - Hot Smoked Paprika
2 Part - Coriander
1 Part - Cayene

No reason to ever buy taco seasoning again. This is an amazing mix and made the best tacos I have ever made. Add this with homemade tortillas and you will have the best tacos ever, guaranteed.

Don't waste your money on taco seasoning packets anymore, this is easier and more delicious.

This is the best taco filling I've ever tasted. I used AB's chili powder recipe for the base. Don't use anything else. Watch your salt levels if you use anything but low sodium beef broth.

The flavor of of this seasoning is absolutely amazing! I will say that the first time I used it with 1 lb of ground beef I assumed you would use the whole batch and added about 2/3 of it to the meat before tasting it, and it was too spicy and strong for my husband. The next time I used it, I just added it to taste and it turned out perfect!

Alton Brown, you did it again. You make GREAT things out of mostly ordinary things most people have in their kitchen. I'll never buy Ortega or Old El Paso again. How do I become president of your fan club?
