Although I loved knowing the science of this, and why it turned out chewy (which it did so that part worked, overall the cookie didn't taste like anything. It pretty much tasted like air. I would not make this again becuase of the taste, although it is a chewy cookie.

Just as good as my other recipe, except mine calls for 1 3/4 cup of veg oil. Yours is much healthier!

It works - they came out chewy and stayed chewy inside a ziploc bag for several days. They were gone before I could test for more days :

This is the BEST chewy cookie ever!!! I've made it on several occasion, and they are always a BIG hit! I've even tried swapping the chips with toffee, and it turned out absolutely chewy even after a couple of days. You're the best AB! Thanks.

I have tried for years to make a chewy chocolate cookie. They always turned hard once they cooled. This recipe was easy and turned out fabulous. I received rave reviews when I took a batch to work. Thank you Alton Brown!!
