I never review recipes so the fact that I took the time to do this means that this recipe is worth trying. I have been searching for a recipe that makes a cookie like this for years! It was practically a hobby, trying recipes and not getting it just right, until I found this one.
They are brown on the outside edges and golden and soft in the middle. I added dark, milk and white chocolate chunks and they were perfect. I used coarse kosher salt but next time I will use fine and the should better than the best!

I am so happy about this recipe I cant say enough! Try it!

These are simplistic cookies that turn out quite wonderful. Some of the ingredients can be fudged a little to have a little more or less of a sweetness for the target taste testers which gives this recipe a little extra style.

It's not often a recipe can be deviated enough from the original and still pleased those that prefer something a little different.

If I had a complaint it would be about the size of each batch before baking. That can be annoying when baking for large groups, but that's a problem more so with the lack of oven space than the recipe itself.

    Thank You Alton.

These are some of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. I love the show Good Eats and this is a recipe that is delicious. I salute you A.B. for another great recipe!

Wow, are these bad. Worse, they aren't crisp. I've made thousands of chocolate chip cookies. I followed this recipe to the letter, even though it was much more sugar and sodium that I would normally use. I thought I could trust Food Network. They came out thin, but not crisp, and they had a horrible aftertaste.

This is the best recipe for chocolet chip cookies. They stay moist and just the right amount of crunch.

These are so good! I tried "the chewy" first thinking those would be the ones I had been looking for but "the thin" were the best! ("the chewy" still too puffy for my taste Thin but no too thin... moist and chewy in the middle! Addictive!
