The turkey was so pretty my mother said she should have taken a picture. It was the best turkey I have ever made and will use this brine recipe from here on out!

By far the best turkey I have ever eaten. The fryer has been retired and my grandmothers recipe for rotating a turkey is gone. Just as the other reviewers stated my guest ask that I cook the turkey going forward each holiday. Even my children that don't like turkey loved it!

Wow - great bringing recipe. I have never cooked a turkey, nor truly understood what "brining" was, but after this recipe, my turkey was a huge, huge hit! I had Thanksgiving dinner at my house, did everything step by step and the turkey was so good. I had 7 people over my house for Thanksgiving and everyone took seconds on the turkey. They raved about the turkey - Thank you Alton Brown. I am grateful I found your recipe and had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family :

I've made this recipe for 3 years running now (the brine's chilling in the fridge for number 4. A friend's dad has raved about it since he ate it last year. People who claim to not like turkey have come back for seconds.
I'm the guy who is known for deep frying everything, so it surprises people that I roast my turkey, but with this recipe, you can't beat it!

Last year, I used this recipe and it's the best I've ever made. I'm over 60, so I've made a lot of them. It was the first year I didn't stuff and the moistest ever. My turkey is in the oven now (Wed. cooking this year again without stuffing--we go to relatives for the holiday but like the leftovers so cook our own. Thanks for the help, Alton.

I have used this recipe for the last 3 years and just passed it on to my Mother in Law for her to use this year at Thanksgiving. The turkey is always so moist!

I have been using this recipe since it aired back and I will never use any other recipe. Guests that normally don't like turkey because it is too dry cannot believe how tender and juicy my turkey is.

I made this turkey last year. Now everyone wants to come back to my house! Out of my 14 years of cooking turkeys I haven't come close to this. This was THE BEST turkey I have ever tasted, EVER! It took time but it was easy to do and it is hard to mess up. It made everything else better too.
