Store bought hummus is always hit and miss. They always seem to have too much of something. This one was awesome! I used tahini instead of peanut butter since I had just bought it and it is just delicious. I like using some of the drained bean liquid and less oil than in other recipies.

This hummus was beyond belief! Absolutely delicious. I did add hot sauce as suggested by other reviewers but it was also good without it. I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. Plan on keeping it as a "staple" in the fridge. I've always been a fan of hummus but this took it to the extreme. Thanks!

Great and easy dip or spread. I only used 2 cloves of garlic the second time. I'm not a huge garlic fan. Went over well at a party and really easy to make.

I don't know why AB didn't just use tahini instead of peanut butter (peanut butter?!?!?.

I thought it tasted good, although I'd definitly use tahini (it's not that hard to find and less of the fluids to make it less soupy (omit the juice from the garbanzo can.

Sprinke a dash of paprika on top and you are good to go!

What this recipe may or may not lack in terms of authenticity is more than made up for in ease. Who knew that the taste and texture of Peanut Butter and Tahini were so close. In combination with the ther ingredients and flavors the tastes are realy all but indistinguishable!

    WOW!

This was my first try at making hummus. It came out with a delightful flavor and texture. I found the use of peanut butter not only easier to obtain but it added to the overall flavor as well. Thanks for a wonderful idea Alton.

I found the recipe to be very sour, the lemon overpowered everything else.

Very good as a spread in place of mayonaise.

I love garlic, but this was a bit overpowering. I liked the peanut butter in it, and I'm not that big on peanut butter. It was simple, made a nice snack with pita chips, and nice spread for sandwiches. Will make again with adjusted recipe.
