If you use a muslin bag to hold the cinnamon and cloves ect, remember to remove it before adding the beaten eggs.

Not sure what I did wrong with this but boy did it come out bad!! To me and my mother in law there was no flavor and it seemed like the eggs curdled in the cooker after they were added. I would like to try this recipe again but only after I get some pointers or tips from some others or a professional on why it turned out so bad.

My girlfriend and I cooked up AB's wassail last night after seeing his "Night Before" show, and after a successful test-run, we plan to serve it at our holiday parties. We used a cheap maderia and Best's Brown Ale... the nutty bouquet of the ale really came out in the finished drink.
It has a wonderfully singular flavor, and the aroma perfectly matches holiday nosh. Give it a try.
