I am the "Chicken Pot Pie Goddess" after making this recipe. Take the time and make it because it's slow cooking at it's finest. (Bonus points for using haricots verts for the green instead of peas.

I'm in seventh grade and I have never made a meal as easy and delicous as this. If you said that this was bland or hard you are out of your mind. In the chicken pot pie episode Anne did double dip with her tasting spoon, but it was in her home, not in her restraunt.

This is possibly the best pot pie crust recipe on the face of the earth ! ! Crispy, flaky, and buttery tasting and so easy to make. Will use for lost of things. And the pot pie was yummy too, but hubby preferred the more traditional recipe. But the crust is my new all time favorite. Thanks Anne :

This dish was absolutely delicious!! Five stars all the way. There is no better way to make crust than in a Food Processor! The crust was so easy to make and so flaky, my daughter was actually picking it off the side of the dish :D

The Butternut Squash was really good in this Potpie and it gave such a nice taste and color combination. However, it did take me a lot longer than the recipe states, it was more like 2.5 hours start to finish and there was no sitting between. I was working the whole time either chopping, cooking or cleaning up. I am sure part of this was because I had never made this dish, but it is still pretty time consuming. It was a wonderful dish and my family really loved it, but make sure you have plenty of time to cook.

I would still rate this dish five stars! As always, all of Chef Anne's dishes are so good!!

OMG my family loved this chicken pot pie! Every Sunday I challenge myself to cook something new and exciting - this week's dinner was a home run. This pot pie is worth the few extra steps, don't be intimidated by the length of the recipe - Anne breaks it down and it is well worth it. I am a HUGE fan of Anne Burrell - her recipes are fantastic and guess what? MMMMMM...taste like chicken! Thanks Anne! - Your biggest fan from Hasbrouck Heigths, NJ

YUMMY! This was so good! True comfort food. Love the squash. The crust was to die for, so flaky and rich, my husband was pealing it off the sides of the dish. Just as good reheated. Thanks Anne!

    Yum.
Why criticize Anne for every stupid little thing. She is showing you her recipe. My mom doubled dipped every meal, and so do a lot of other people at home. I prefer real reviews, not stupid gripes about Anne. If you stop watching (yea, we don't have to read through tons of gripes from stupid people. Get a life, and get over it.

This is a terrific recipe. I love the pastry and i've made this several times. Anne is terrific to watch. Some of these reviewers need to get over the double dip thing; just so stupid and obviously have never worked in a restaurant kitchen to see things happen that are so much worse.

Oh, yeah, you definitely want to make this! It's so, so delicious. You do get a lot of pastry, so I use half the dough with 4 ramekins one night and save the other half in the freezer for another batch o' pies down the road. Great family dish. Put a green salad with a simple, tangy vinaigrette on the side for the grownups, and it's all good. This one's in our permanent rotation for fall / winter. Thanks, Anne! Keep 'em coming. -- Lafayette, CA
