I made this for my family for our Father's Day dinner. We were a little rushed in the morning due to a baseball tournament. So I figured this could easily transform into a dinner meal. I also served it with a New York Strip steak and made and a side salad (was planning to make Chef Anne's Hanger steak recipe too but didn't realize that I needed to marinate the steak until it was too late.

This was such a hit. I had a bit of difficulty with the timing of the eggs. I used the mini oval Rachael Ray baking dishes and put two eggs each dish instead on an individual ramekin so it seemed to take longer for the eggs to set up and then in the end the yolks were harder than I would have liked but still yummy. My kids ate it! Mushrooms and all (and they say they HATE mushrooms Not one thing left over!!!!!

This is a definite make again. Very easy to prepare and great flavor. Next time I will look for other great flavored sausage

I made my rendition of Ann Burrell's dish for Father's Day brunch and it was a hit! It isn't a health dish but, is great for a treat. I may make this for Christmas morning:-

I wanted to make something different for my husband on Fathers Day...he has never had a baked egg, neither had I...it was easy to make and the end result according to my husband..."it was the best breakfast I have ever made for him". I can't wait to make it again!

I made this for Fathers Day breakfast along with the Meyers Lemon pancakes, My husband, father and father in-law left vert full and very satisfied, loved it. Couldn't find the Meyer lemons so made with regular lemons and turned out fine, add a touch of vanilla. Fantastic fathers Day.

I made this for Father's Day brunch too. My husband was skeptical...wanted his usual fried eggs and bacon. He absolutely loved this! He likes his eggs more toward the very well done side, so next time I'll take mine out earlier. I used a larger ramekin and put three eggs in his, one in mine. Served with strawberries and pineapple and some grilled garlic bread. Delicious and hearty!
Can't wait to try the Meyer lemon pancakes next week!

I made this for my husband for Father's Day. I served it with mimosas and fresh fruit on the side. Next time, I will make an arugula salad to serve on the side. It was absolutely wonderful. The flavor of the mushrooms and sausage was hearty and had a lot of depth. After cooking the initial 8 minutes in the oven; only cook another 2-3 minutes (not the 5 minutes as stated with the Gruyere on top. I pulled mine out early and I'm glad I did, if not the eggs would have been over hard! I will definitely make this the next time I have company over for brunch!

I just made this for my husband on Father's day. It was easy to put together and was a joy to eat. Not only was it full of flavor it was completely satisfying.
We are not big pork eaters so I used chicken sausage and it sill all worked!
    Enjoy..
