So yummy, and easy. Like others, I do not do a lot of bread-making, and never ever deep fry. But they came out perfect. Thank you Anne! And as they do at Cafe du Monde, don't skimp on the powdered sugar!

I made these about a year ago. I'm a not-so-great baker, so I was worried, but this is a no-fail recipe. They were lovely, light and fluffy! I'm planning to make them again for a Super Bowl party with a NOLA theme. Can I make these the night before and still serve them tasting fresh??

I loved these. I went to New Orleans last year for my vacation, and of course I had to taste the beignets at Cafe Du Monde and Cafe Beignet. Personally, I like Cafe Beignets the best. When I got home I decided to make them myself. Well, these tasted even better than Cafe Beignets or Du Monde. Please try these, they are the best.

This was really good, but the first few came out a bit heavy. After the oil got a bit hotter than the 350 recommended, they were much lighter. Still not quite as good as Cafe du Mond's in New Orleans, but very close.

Hi all I had to write this review because if you only knew how intimidated I was at the thought of making my own beignets. I wanted to go to New Orleans just to taste them they were so delicious looking on tv. ( I still want to go to New Orleans. Then I decided to build up my nerves and do it myself. Well I used this recipe and they turned out delicious, I do not believe that anyone in Louisianna could make them better. My family loves them, I don't no how but I got much more than the recipe said it would yeild and we ate them so fast, just as soon as they came out of the oil,(well we did wait long enough to shak then in cinnamon and sugar lol but after that it was a contest to see who would get the next one. I had to make another batch so the other family members who were not there at the time could have some. Thank you Ann.

Nothing like the light, fluffy beignets that poof up in the french quarter. I like Anne Burrel so it pains me to right this but she missed the mark on this. After I made it, I realized what recipe I use - Paula Deen. It's the best. Reminds me of beignets at Cafe d' Monde. Tonight, I'm going to make Paula's recipe and mix what I have left to salvage my dough. Times are tough! LOL
