very yummy, they came out great for the first time i made them. They look similar to sopapillas but they taste a little different.

Jamjam75, unfortunately, you can't freeze cooked beignets and expect them to be as good as fresh. However, you might be able to freeze the raised dough. Just let it thaw before frying the beignets.

Beignets are out of this world - took me back to New Orleans - question, does anybody know if they can be frozen? I'd like to take them with me on my next trip to visit relatives.
