Simply wonderful. Can't beat this for an easy extremely flavorful artichoke side. The anchovies are a must, but is good with or without the thyme.

AHHHHMAAAZING!!!!!!!!! Made this as a side dish with fried salmon patties!!!! The tangy flavor of the artichokes went perfectly with the salmon!!! I don't like anchovies but I took Anne's advice and added it in.... Don't skip them they really give this dish the extra umph!!

Fantastic! I'd pretty much decided I wouldn't be cooking artichokes--baby or otherwise--after I was painfully poked by one of the leaves, but when I saw the babies on sale I thought I'd give them another chance and this will be my go to recipe. I love Anne's recipes in general and this one did not disappoint. I watched the video of her making this recipe and it really couldn't have been easier. Anything braised with wine, lemon, garlic, and thyme, which I actually forgot to add, is bound to be delicious. I happened to have a goat parmesan-style cheese to finish and couldn't have been more pleased with the results!

Love artichokes but had never tried babys. After seeing Ann make them on the Ham show I decided to tackle them. They are much easier than expected and make a great side dish. The only adjustments I made were to use anchovy paste and a 1 to 1 ratio of white wine and chicken broth for the brazing liquid. I also used only six artichokes and 6 or so "real" baby carrots because I was only cooking for 3 and it was Easter. A great side to my pheasant in mustard sauce. So tasty I made them again the next night to go with roast goat loin. Definitely a keeper.

I've tried this recipe before and loved it, but the artichokes were a bit pricey this week. So I got it in my head to adjust the recipe a bit for the green beans on special. I used the same flavors (minus the thyme bundle but cut the amount of liquid and turned it into a saute.

    Very nice!

I really enjoyed this recipe. Only thing it lacked is the crispy topping you get from making them in the oven. Would make agin to keep the same flavor profile but will try making them in the oven instead.

This was fun to make as I had never made baby artichokes before. I think one lemon would be just as good and this took way longer than 30 minutes to prepare in order to reduce the liquid. But overall.....Yum.

In her new receipe season she says to add Vitamin C in the water lst then lemon juice and lemons.

I Absolutely ADORE anything involving artichokes!! This recipe of Anne's is awesome!! I had never braised artichokes before. The addition of anchovies is wonderful...however, I used anchovy paste as I had no whole anchovies. GREAT Side Dish!!! I'll definitely make this again...often!! Bring on the ARTICHOKES!!!

I didn't like this....it tasted more like boiled artichokes with very little flavor. Disappointing.
