Love artichokes in any form. This is simple and straightforward and good to toss with pastas, to make ahead for company and reheat...that I like. I am also on a weightloss quest to lose those last, stubborn 10 lbs...and loving to cook is not helping; so I decided that keeping my meals simple w/o too many added, high-caloric ingredients is the only answer to eating good and low cal. I forgot the anchovies b/c it was not listed on the recipe, I might try that the next time. However, my only negative is to suggest not adding all 4 lemon halves to braising liquid unless they are very small lemons...I used large lemons and the braising liquid became too sour tasting, and I love lemons...I needed to counteract the bitter taste by adding about a tsp. of sugar. That saved it.
