Stop being so fussy! Anne is great and she cooks the way REAL cooks cook. tasing along the way is how you know its right.

I just loved this - it was easy peasy because Anne gave you simple substitutions in case you didn't have this or that ingredient. The nice thing is that it made me look forward to cooking dinner and trying something new with interesting but simple ingredients so it could be done at the spur of the moment. The chicken was moist - the sauce was delicious and flavorful and best of all the kids ate it and it pleased the adults. What more could you ask for? I think Anne is going to become a new favorite at my house!

Made this for dinner tonight. I was surprised at how sophisticated and complex the flavors were. Not normally a fan of thighs, but they were perfect for braising.

I was afraid of the almonds, so I left them out and just reduced the sauce. It was sensational.

As the dish was coming together, I thought I would put this one in my recipe box. Things were going along well until the cook tasted her sauce with the spoon she was preparing the dish with then put the same spoon back in the pot to "stir" again. This is very unhealthful and the spoon is full of bacteria.
