EASY WITH COMPLEX FLAVORS. I am always looking for new recipes to feed my Mexican wife and mother-in-law. I took the time to really char the jalapeños and tomatillos, and to brown off the chicken. I used three jalapeños and included the seeds. The heat was just about right for them which means too much for most. I also served it with rice and corn tortillas. It made for an easy, but satisfying weekday meal which I will definitely make again. The family verdict? "Que rico comida!"

UNBELIEVABLY GOOD! You often here the chefs talking about "layers" of flavors. This dish is a perfect example. You taste different individual flavors as you chew. All of them being delicious!

This recipe was absolutely AMAZING!!! It is super easy to make and I served it over white rice and with Mexican Creme( no lime juice or zest added to the Mexican Creme!!! I will make it over and over again! Also a little tip, I got the tomatillos at a Spanish store(like a bodega. They were cheaper there.

This was absolutely fabulous! We served it with frijoles and warm flour tortillas. I always enjoy watching Anne cook and have tried several of her recipes at home, but this one is truly the best so far. I made it exactly as written. Very easy, very affordable, not too hot, just homey goodness.
The sour cream sauce added the extra tang. Thanks for coming!

This is so easy to make and wonderful to eat. I served black beans along side and it was perfect. My husband will want this again and again. Don't leave out the sour cream topping, it is really great. Thanks Anne

Delicious! I like my sauces extra thick so I pulled the chicken out and reduced the sauce a little more, came out awesome!

This recipe was so so simple to make, but extremely rewarding (and decently healthy. I recently returned from a trip to Mexico and this tasted like the food I had there...not Americanized Mexican. I made some simple rice to go with it and the sauce and sour cream with the chicken and rice was just delicious. Anne's recipes always look good, but this is one of the first ones where I had most of the ingredients in the pantry to begin with and all I had to do was chop and drop. Delicious and a no-brainer recipes mean I could make this on a Monday night again...and again...and again.

This was the first time we cooked with tomatillos so it a little bit of a stretch. Suffice it to say that my wife and I absolutely loved this dish. We used all chicken thighs but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. It was pretty easy to make and it was delicious. I would definitely make this again.
