Baking a day ahead because oven space is at a premium tomorrow. The Bird has been in for 1 hour and the house smells AMAZING! Made this one last year too. Anne, you are a genius!!!

I made this recipe last Thanksgiving and my Dad and Father in Law both said it was the best turkey they have ever had! I loved that on Thanksgiving morning all I had to do was put the turkey in the oven. It is absolutley delicious and easy! Love it and am making it again this year.

Last year was my first year to make the turkey...ever...and I used this recipe. It was fantastic! The turkey was so flavorful and juicy; everyone said it was the best they'd ever had. For the brining process, I would recommend using one of those disposable, styrofoam ice chests from the gas station with a trash bag as a liner. It makes for very easy clean up.

I love brining turkeys, and this is a good recipe!

Anne talks about using the "pope's nose" in the bottom of the turkey pan, and not throwing any turkey parts away. NO WAY, would I EVER throw away that piece! It's my favorite part of the turkey, and even a chicken. Great meat on that piece!

Made this recipe last year and everyone raved. I just did the sage as my wife doesn't like rosemary. We cook 2 separate turkeys due to the size of our group. I did mine outside on the grill over indirect heat. I put a little applewood smoke on it for about 1/2 hr at the beginning and it added a extra level of flavor. 14lb bird cooked in a little less that 3hrs. This is the perfect recipe for outdoors because of the hear varitions that can ocur in a grill.
