OMG, this was my first time ever trying a recipe from TV. This was awsome. The best Thanksgiving turkey I have ever tasted. Sorry mom. I bought a cooler to brine in.

Tried this last Thanksgiving and it has become our go-to recipe for turkey. My family likes a very traditional bird and gravy so I left the cider and cinnamon out of the gravy. Even without these ingredients it was the best Thanksgiving gravy served at my family's table! I think the hardest part of the recipe was finding a container big enough to brine the 14 lb turkey. I ended up buying a 5 gallon Ziploc bag and using bacon boxes to keep the sides propped up enough to keep the bird covered.

I made this recipe last year for Thanksgiving and I LOVED IT!!! The only thing is you need to make sure you have enough time and space in your fridge in order to prepare it. The turkey was tender and absolutelly delicious, even the white meat was tender and juicy!
I highly recommend this recepie. It's the only Turkey recepie I will use from now on!!!

I used this recipe last Thanksgiving and it was incredibly delicious. It definitely takes some extra time and forthought but is worth every minute. I was going to try something different this year but why? This is the perfect bird! Thank you, Anne!

I made this last Thanksgiving and though it takes some extra effort, it is way, way, WAY worth it! I would have a hard time not using this recipe after trying it and am looking forward to it again this Thanksgiving. I made it for our entire family get-together and everybody raved about it, moist, extremely flavorful and delicious. Brining makes a huge difference, simething I didn't know before I tried it and I am so glad I did. I followed the recipe exactly and it is perfect. I did not try the gravy so can't rate that. TRY THIS RECIPE! You will not be disappointed. Thank you Anne!

I meant to do this last year - post something here that is but this is the best of the best most wonder thing ever - I followed your recipe just like you no skimping no shortcuts - three day brine etc and girl - damn it is the best. I will never cook turkey any other way - it is that good and I can't wait to do it for this year. The gravy is excellent and paired well with garlic mashers and baked sweet potatoes - all I can do is smack my lips when I think about this. YOU ROCK

Anne, i have tried plenty of turkey recipes over the years . Emeril, Martha and tons of others over many years and this is the one I will use forever! This was so moist and juicy and looked exactly like the Norman Rockwell painting. I was so impressed. Thanks for ending my search.
(I was a little apprehensive about leaving it in the fridge uncoverded, but worked perfectly
