Anne Burrell once again provides an excellent recipe. Love her and her show. On the salt - as anyone who cooks will tell you - salt to taste. The only time to measure is when you're baking...

The family watches Anne together and we love to watch her work. She has an obvious passion for cooking that is the hallmark of a great chef. Food Network - more Anne Burrell please !!!

I enjoy all of Anne's recipes and this was no exception. As for the salt...real cooks would understand the use of salt. Please get over it. If you don't like salt, don't use it! Ever hear of tweaking a recipe to "your" taste? Persons who really cook know how to use salt when preparing and cooking a dish. Anne is a "chef" and she knows how to use salt! Thanks Anne for all your great, delicious AND , BECAUSE I KNOW HOW TO COOK, NOT TOO SALTY RECIPES!

I made this recipe, but cut it in half and subsituted 3 chicken cutlets. Chicken turned out tender and the sauce was flavorful. I used a decent amount of kosher salt throughout - perhaps 5 tsps in all. Highly recommended!

By not listing how much salt she leaves it up to you. The only falt here is not adding "to tast". FOR GODS SAKE GET A LIFE. Salt is not the evil they once made it out to be. This came from my doctor. Just don't over do it. I didn't see this particular episode so I am not sure what a fistful is. This is a great recipe and put in around a tablespoon of salt total and it could have stood a little more but I let people season with salt like they like it. Except for pasta you can always add salt later. The recipe does not call for 3 fists fulls of salt what ever that works out to. This recipe passes the family test with flying colors.

I'm so sick of the salt police on all of Anne's recipes. Like you say, she doesn't list amounts. I love Anne. She loves food and so do I!!!! Chicken Cacciatore is one of my every day meals and this looks like she's taken it to another level. hey. What about the chocolate mousse!! Too much salt there? Or not?
