It was really good. I tried it warm instead of cool and it was amazing!! I substituted white beans for potatoes, and it worked great. Overall it was a good dish. :-

I only tried one of Anne's recipes-her onion soup. Wasn't crazy about it but what concerns me about all of her recipes is the fact that she promotes the use of a LOT of salt! Salt and more salt! I feel my blood pressure rise just reading the recipe!

Enjoyed this after watching.
However, the "So's" drove me crazy too.

I made this soup, exactly as is, and it was amazing. It's worth the extra little bit of time to blanch the tips, as they add a very satisfying crunch.

I deviated from the recipe by simmering some leek leaves, the dark green part that you throw away, in the stock with a couple of bay leaves before starting the soup. I also used frozen asparagus from this spring's bumper crop instead of fresh but the result was very good. It will be a staple in my book from now on.

I thought was a great way to use the entire asparagus. I added a squeeze of lemon juice also when eating it cold.

I made the asparagus soup and also added zucchini squash in it. It's so good, even heated. I tape Anne's shows and watch them when I get a chance. I counted over 95 times she said "SO". It's distracting to keep listening to her say, SO. Has anyone else noticed the multiple times she says SO???
