When I want a special desert, this is it! First time was last Valentine's day, then a couple special occasions, and couldn't find anything more deserving for this year's Feb 14. Plan ahead, have ALL the right ingredients and you will be rewarded for the effort!

I've always loved CB and this was my first time making it from scratch. I didn't have fresh thyme so I left it out. The orange flavor on the other hand from the zest was outstanding. I would next time add a whole cinnamon stick in order to bring that spice forward. All in all this was really satisfying to make. Thank You Anne!

Made this for Valentine's Day. Since my hubby gave me a culinary torch for XMAS, I have been a creme brulee-making fool. Saw this recipe on the show, thought it looked wonderful, and it was. I left out the thyme, and it was delish. In fact, I'm making it again tonight, for no special occasion. This time, I will up the ante a little by using the zest of 2 oranges - they are small and I don't want to stint. Easy recipe and excellent flavor.

This was my first time making creme brulee and it was fantastic! So easy! I saw Anne do this on her show and decided to try making it. My husband is a huge creme brulee fan and orders it whenever we go out. He said that this was, by far, his favorite creme brulee! It was the perfect blend of flavors and I can't wait to make it for company. I will say I actually preferred the flavor when the custard had sat over night, it gave it time to really thicken and congeal.

These are chilling as we speak, so i can't say for sure whether they will be delicious (although they smell amazing. My comment is that the recipe says to whisk together the eggs/sugar mixture with the cooled cream. Don't do this! My brulee was looking very "lumpy" in the oven - not the smooth silky texture you expect. A quick google search revealed this is the result of whipping air into the mixture, which is what happens when you mix with a whisk (and aren't warned to go slow and be gentle. So the texture probably won't be desired, but hopefully the flavor is still good, as I'm serving it to my hubby, who is a huge creme brulee fan, for valentine's dinner tonight. Come on food network kitchens! Give us a sporting chance with your recipe writing!

This was easy. Came out perfectly. I also paired it with Bobby Flay's Cinnamon Oranges to use up the orange. Great
