The biscotti tasted 'out of this world', however, when I started slicing the logs, many of the slices ended up crumbling to small pieces. I let them cool a bit longer, tried a different type of knife for slicing, but still had the same results. I couldn't take them to the event I had intended to, but my family gobbled up the bits and pieces of the 'biscotti' just the same.
Since this was my first time making biscotti, I followed the recipe exactly. I didn't see this problem mentioned in any of the other reviews -- any suggestions or ideas??

This was my first time making biscotti. I always thought it would be difficult and time consuming. NOPE! It was very easy. One thing I tweaked was the cherries. I chopped them up to make them smaller and easier to eat. I left off the sugar on top, and they came out great. Actually, the next time I make this recipe I will cut the sugar in the actual recipe in half. I found them to be too sweet for a biscotti. Over all the entire family gobbled them up. I enjoyed them with a good soak in my coffee.

Anne, these are fantastic, they are so delicious. I used the dried cherries from Costco, they are just perfect. I am definitely keeping this in my recipe file. Thank you for giving us such a great recipe.

I made this on a whim, and it was delicious! This is definitely going in my favorite recipes. I used dried cranberries instead of cherries, and did not make the ganache.

These are great. I hope to never buy biscotti again. I substituted dried cranberries for the dried cherries, hazelnuts for the almonds and orange zest for the lemon zest because that is what I had in the pantry. I also dipped some in melted chocolate and rolled the tip in crushed candy canes. They will make a nice gift.

I made these last night and they're wonderful. However, while I understand your frustration regarding advertisements, giving the recipe only 1 star negatively affects Ann...not the advertiser!

Biscotti isn't a cookie that everyone will love. Some people will be turned off from the somewhat hard texture, but I am not one of these people : I enjoyed this recipe very much. The lemon zest is what MADE these cookies. It was a nice compliment to the tart cherries, and these cookies would not nearly be as good without it. These are great milk dippers. I also would recommend dipping an end of the cookie in white chocolate as the recipe recommends. Also, I would recommend turning the oven up to 350 when you return them to be heated a second time. I had to cook mine for about 20 minutes longer than the recipe specified. In the end, a good recipe.

My first attempt at Biscotti and it was a success. I didn't want to make the trip to the store for the Cherries, Raw Sugar, and the lemon. So I made liberal substitution with Dried Cranberries, Regular sugar for spread on the top, and lime zest. And these STILL came out yummy!! Thank you Anne! Amazing and simple! You are wonderful!
