I loved this recipe. I did not add seafood seasoning this time as i like the flavor of cod on its own, i will try it next time. It will be soon. Yummy!!! Thank You Anne. Love to watch your shows.

I only made the fries and they were delicious. Instead of only salt as seasoning I also used seasoning salt. I will make this again.

Way to heavy. Flavor is good. Will make it a lot thinner next time.

WOW, I've been trying various recipes and this one hits the mark! I used Rockfish (Chesapeake Bay and it was wonderful. It reminds me of being in Bermuda at the Swizzle Inn!!!

A-Mazing! Tasted like I ordered it in an awesome restaurant! The purple cole slaw and tarter sauce were also amazing! I used hake and tilapia. Both were great.

This recipe is so good and easy. My family loved it and I will definitely make it again. I used Budweiser beer, that's what I had on hand.

I made this last night for the first time and it was DELICIOUS! I used cod instead of haddock and used 2 teaspoons of Emeril's essence as seasoning. My husband and I loved it. I will definitely make this again!

Superb. Followed batter recipe exactly, used Modelo Especial beer. Freaking awesome. Wife, mother in law both loved it, as did I. I will be making this many more times. If you love fish and chips like I do, this recipe is the bomb!!! Thank you Anne!!!

Update Jan 10th 2012: just made this for the second time this time using a proper Breville deep fryer and did the two-stage chip fry. Once again, it came out absolutely perfect, delicious and everyone raved about it. Thanks again! Awesome! Highly recommended!

used the deep fryer for my first fish and chips adventure with this recipe, and it all turned out pretty fantastic! just a heads up- the portions of everything are really big! it calls for 2 pounds of fish (to feed 2-3 people - 3 of us ate and had enough leftover to feed at least another 3 people. that goes for the slaw and the tartar sauce too- i halved the slaw recipe still have a big bowl of it in the fridge, along with a big bowl of the (delicious tartar sauce waiting to be eaten! also, i agree with the other posts about the batter needing more than one beer- or you could add sparkling water; it was just too thick with only one. all in all i highly recommend this recipe!
