This is a simple and great recipe and also a money saver. I use to be the one buying the beer batter from the grocery store. No more. This is not only better but saves me money.

everything took way too long. The receipe called for way to much mayonese on each the salad and the dipping sauce. The tastes where very bland. Ultimately a big disapointment

Fabulous recipe! Perfectly golden and crispy fish. I will never use any other recipe for beer battered fish, this one is a keeper!

We had this for dinner last night. I made a couple of mistakes but all in all it was fantastic!! I over beat my beer batter so it was very thin. It still worked. I am the french fry queen but followed her directions and it made them better. I love her!!

I have yet to see Anne Burrell's show, but I ran across this recipe and it sounded too good to pass up. It was definitely worth the time! I also used cod instead of haddock, but the fish and fries were so crispy and delicious! I think I might throw in a little hot sauce or cayenne pepper next time. I will absolutely make this again.

We take fish fries seriously in Wisconsin, so most pubs and local restaurants have great fried fish, but the chips were often greasy, soggy, or unpalatable! I must say this is better than my favorite local pub's fish and the fries were fantastic too! I love Anne's simple and easy to follow directions!

As usual, Anne has the best recipes and methods. The fish = perfect. And I had to use frozen cod! But I thawed it on a rack in a pan in the fridge all day and patted it dry. The batter was too thick - I checked my beer bottle and it was only an 11.2 oz, so HAD to crack another one (used Stella Artois. The few leftover pieces reheated crispy in the toaster oven next day and made wonderful fish tacos. There were no leftover fries! Also, had some jalepenos so dipped and fried them up to. I grew up in NY and remember loving Arthur Treachers - and I agree he would be proud!
