This is the best recipe for homemade potato gnocchi I have ever made. It's actually my 5th time making it and I use the video as a reference and simply because it's motivating. Follow the recipe but I also remember on the show that Anne does mention to leave the gnocchi in the water for 2 minutes longer after they float to get even fluffier. We've done this and also I like my gnocchi to have a crispy crust on them. Therefore, I may only let them float and then I saute them in a brown butter sauce then add my sauteed wild mushrooms with cream sauce. Any sauce variation works but don't look elsewhere for a gnocchi recipe. You've found it.

The gnocchi recipe is the best I've ever had/made! I can't believe how easy it is--my kids even make it with me. Every other recipe I've tried has produced heavy nuggets of dough, but these gnocchi are like fluffy pillows. I ended up buying a 15# bag of potatoes specifically so I can stock my freezer with gnocchi. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Awesome. Used a couple of slices of bacon chopped rather than prosciutto. This would be great with 1/2 chicken broth and 1/2 white wine too.

Loved it and so did my boyfriend who is a foodie. I used gnocchi from a local, very good, Italian deli. The sauce was a little thin so I added a bit of Parmesan. This isn't a thick sauce which is good because the flavor combination of the ingredients stands out rather than a sauce dominating. Loved how the little bit of red pepper sneaks up for a tiny spice. Great recipe! Made it to my collection - not just a try once dish.

I got a potato ricer for christmas a year ago and FINALLY attempted homemade gnocchi and this recipe is the bomb!! It's quite a few steps but soooo worth it! They are light and fluffy little pillows of goodness. I froze more than half of the batch and plan to make them again. Awesome recipe if you've got a rainy day to spend in the kitchen. Thanks Anne Burrell!!

I was a 1st timer too when I tried this recipe and have now made it 4 times in the last month. My family wasn't crazy about the sauce so I made a simple garlic and olive sauce. We added some roasted shrimp. My daughter said it's the best thing I ever made! I also added some chopped fresh chives to the dough. Wow! Thanks Chef Ann!!

    This came out excellent !
When I make it again, I will add the peas when the stock is almost reduced. Cooking the peas as directed made them a little overdone. I also added a little wine to the stock.
    Yum

Considering it was my first time making Gnocchi, it went very well for me. It does take a little while, but the end product is so good. Take the time though to boil the gnocchi for the proper amount of time. I would say at least 5 minutes.
