I live in the Pacific Northwest, where there is plenty of salmon from Alaska. We eat so much salmon, it's not much of a treat anymore. This recipe really livened up boring old salmon! You can't go wrong with butter, lemon and garlic! I made a foil boat for my salmon and spread the compound butter across the fish and topped with round lemon slices and shallot, that way it all cooked together and the butter stayed in the packet. Yum!

This was one of the best salmon recipes I have tried. My husband is still raving about the butter sauce and thinking of different ways to use it. Not a surprise that Anne wins the Worst cooks in America Compitition every year.

I have a Meyer lemon tree and fresh herbs which makes it even better when all is fresh. I also used a honey teriyaki sauce to baste while cooking which gives it a sweet taste that I am use to. I had a spinach salad with pasta and lemon sauce with capers over and some french bread.

THE best salmon recipe out there! Thanks, Anne! Meyer lemons are not available all the time, but I have a friend who has a tree and gets enough to share. They are wonderful if you can find them, but if not, regular lemons work just as well.

Fantastic recipe. I replaced the Meyer Lemon zest with apprx 1/2 tsp lemon juice and melted the butter. I then poured the mixture on top of the salmon. It tastes just like Logan's Steakhouse garlic-dill sauce. Delicious!
