Living in the midwest, we are generally not fish eaters, and I have rarely cooked salmon because it usually has a strong fish taste by the time it makes it to Missouri.

But our local grocery store had some fresh salmon in, so I decided to try it with this recipe. My daughters, 7 and 11, had never remembered eating salmon. I followed the directions exactly and the fish came out beautifully! Everyone ate it up, and my husband said it was the best salmon BY FAR that he had ever eaten. My girls are usually pretty picky eaters, and they both finished their plates.

    It's a big hit - I wouldn't change a thing!

I've been trying to get more fish into my diet, and while salmon isn't my favorite, I decided to try this recipe, as it's Anne's (whom I love and it looked manageable for a first-time fish cooker. I liked it a lot! It seemed like a lot of butter, though, but the spices melded beautifully with the lemon and the fish. Salmon still isn't my fave, but the recipe shouldn't suffer because of my personal fish preference.

Super delicious and easy recipe. We love salmon and I'm always looking for new ways to liven it up. This butter compound was just what it needed. My 12 yr old even loved it.

I would have rated this recipe even higher if I could and Anne gets 10 stars. She cooks like the truly talented chef that she is. Denise, do you ever see Emeril or Tyler or any Chef on Food Network cook with gloves. Of course not. True chefs follow good hygiene and thoroughly wash their hands. Gloves are not necessary unless you have an open wound. Why not comment on the recipe itself which is incredible and leave Anne alone. She is a true professional.

My husband and I only eat chicken and salmon so I was in desperate need of finding a different recipe. This was so simple and turned out delicious. Although I had to use dried thyme and dill, it was still wonderful. My two toddlers loved it too.

This is a nice dish for dinner parties. It is nearly foolproof and yet comes off as something special. The butter needs to be at room temp to ensure that it melts easily on the salmon.
