I've only made the pita so far and they are amazing! It's a brilliant recipe and I would have never thought I could make my own whole wheat pita so easily. The hardest part was waiting the hour and a half for the dough to rise. I cannot wait to try the lamb burger recipe.

I liked the recipe a lot. I cooked the burgers in a skillet instead of on the grill and as a result the water was a bad idea, but other than that they went really well. Total crowd pleaser!

I didn't make the lamb burgers because I just don't like lamb. I did make the pitas. I didn't add the cumin or cayenne because I wanted them plain for such fillings as tuna and chicken salad. I did add a pinch of black pepper. I baked them two at a time on a pre-heated pizza stone for 5 min. Didn't need to turn them, they came out great!! Nice and golden. Anne is the BEST...

I made the pitas - not the burger. They were extraordinary. I like the fact that Anne makes things look easy, because it gives me the confidence to try the recipe, and then -- voila -- homemade pitas. I also love lamb burgers. For those of you are new to Anne's burger recipes, she tends to make the patties very moist by adding water, or soy sauce, for example, in her turkey burger recipe. You can cut back on it if you want. If find her burgers easier to cook on a griddle than on a grill, because they will form a crust more quickly and hold together better. But enough about burgers -- try the pitas. They are terrific!

It was first attempt and first time making lamb burgers. Wow were they yummy and tender! My only modifications of the burger recipe was the red onion because we had only sweet white onion and I did cut the water back to two tbsp. I served the burgers with homemade tzatziki sauce topping because I thought it would pair great with the recipe. Really good! I will definitely make these again soon!

Not bad... but I used the 1/2 cup of water and my lamb was really moist. Should I have not used the 1/2 cup of water?
