I found hanger steak in an Asian market nearby. It was labeled as hanging tenderloin and was rather inexpensive. I added shallots to the marinade but otherwise followed the recipe. Cooked it in a grill pan on the stove top and it was awesome! Definitely will make this one again. Thanks Anne!

I found it hard to find hanger steaks so I substituted flank steak and it was absolutely delicious! I did not use the red pepper as I have a 9 yr. old who can't eat spicier foods. I will continue to look for hanger steaks, I would love to try this recipe with them! Love your show, Chef Anne!

This recipe is delicious. I've made it several times this summer! When hanger steaks aren't available or are too pricey, I've substituted flank steak with great success. Just make sure you get a good pink/red medium rare or it can become tough, like hanger steak.

This was so good, but it took a month for me to get hanger steak. I went to three different grocery stores and a butcher shop before I found ONE hanger steak. I froze it and it took another month to find the second. Actually, it wasn't big enough, but the guy gave me the smaller one for free. (I live in a large city as well. When I finally got the steaks, the marinade was flavorful, easy to prepare and left me with a delicious plate of meat. I will definitely make again, but with a different cut of meat.

Anne, my husband and I love you and your show. It is so much fun to watch and WOW I learned alot from you tooooo.
Unfortunetly, in alot of respects, I can't find Hanger Steak and the "butchers" at the store in my town just looked at me like I have asparagus growning out of ears...so could you tell me what is a good substitute for hanger steak. We live a little town in western North Carolina, so our choices are limited.
Thanks and keep the shows coming, great job and lots of fun.

It was raining so I didn't even grill the steaks but did it them in a fry pan on the stove top and there were still delicious. I'm not a huge steak person but I would eat this again in a heartbeat. Easy and the family loved it. (And the steaks were relatively inexpensive.

I bought a hanger steak on sale and was looking for an awesome marinade to use on it. Anne Burrell's recipe really delivered! Even my picky 8 yr. old twins both loved it. I left out the pepper flakes to keep the heat down and no one missed it. The mustard, garlic, and lemon flavors blended together in such a pleasing way. I used the whole recipe for the marinade even though I had a smaller steak than recommended. We loved having the extra marinade...sooooo juicy and moist. I can't wait to try this marinade on other cuts of meat.

This recipe was amazing. I went to a local buther shop and asked for the steaks. I had never heard of hanger steaks. I also used the marinade on porterhouse steaks. I will use this marinade with other cuts as well. My husband does not like rosemary (leaves, fronds whole so I just put them in a coffee, spice grinder. We both absolutely loved this marinade.
