I'm going to have to rate this, as another did, on the ingredients and how good it sounds. I plan to make it for my family and coworkers, I'm sure they will love it. But, I do have one question... What "paper" are we buttering as it says to do in the early instructions? I would assume it would be parchment paper, but the directions are not even vague and nowhere near explicit about this little detail. One would think you could butter the foil... Thanks.

Just sliced off our first bite...awesome! These were very simple to make and well worth any extra effort.
Thanks for the great recipe, Anne

Is there a way to get the nutitional info on this and other recipes on this site. I am on a special diet and would like to know the breakdown. Has anyone tried using fat free cream cheese and condensed milk in these?

I use my blender in short bursts, giving the glass a shake every two times to make sure everything hits the blades.

So if it's too much for you find another recipe. There's Elle Krieger and eatingwell.com for that. These are AWESOME, by the way.

I enjoyed the bars. Not as much work as I anticipated.
I also found that they were very good when I added a little Brandy flavoring and toasted Pecans instead of the Butterscotch chips..

It may seem like a lot of calories with the whole thing put together, but if you divide the recipe into 36 pieces as it calls for, the cookies end up only being about 220 calories. Not so bad at all. And besides, like others below me, it's the holidays, and this is a cookie...it's okay to splurge :

Made the substitution as recommended in the note and it is awsome. If you plan on using cranberries like I did, use 5 oz of dried cranberries and soak them in hot water for 5 min. Rinse and cool before adding to the mixture. It makes a great sweet treat that is semi-healthy!
