The kids loved the flavor of this cookie, but I thought the butterscotch and the lemon competed too much. I also thought it was too sweet for my taste. I also didn't like that you have to keep the cookie cold, which made the butterscotch chips hard as rocks. I had the crumbly problem too, but not too badly. I may make these again without the chips - I think we would like that better.

These are the most delicious cookie I have ever eaten...and I have eaten a lot of cookies in my life! Even my pickiest (grown child loved these! They aren't difficult and the ingredients are readily available. These have become a keeper in my baking repertoire!

This was a great recipe. I let the bars cool completely, and had no crumbling problems. I did add salted butter, only because that's all I had, and not being a lemon lover, I only used the juice from one small lemon. I didn't have a full bag of butterscotch chips, so I used half butterscotch and half milk chocolate. They turned out great! I had to put most of them away in the freezer, otherwise there wouldn't be any left for Christmas!

These were just delicious! I doubled the recipe and cut them into small squares so I had plenty to go around at the office. Everyone loved them and I have lots of requests for the recipe. Yummy!

I made these yesterday and refrigerated them overnight before cutting and they didn't crumble too much on me, so maybe that would help for those who had trouble. I did leave out a little bit of the sweetened condensed milk so it wouldn't be too sweet. They were rich and sooo yummy! I cut them smaller than the recipe says and got about 60 cookies out of one pan. Awesome recipe Anne!

So easy to make and perfect for my sweet tooth. They went quickly at work and I'm making 2 more batches for a cookie swap. Because they are so rich, I am going to cut them into 1" squares. Thanks!

These bars are sublime. This was the first of Chef Anne's recipes I've tried at home, and this will definately be one of my 'go to' dishes from now on. Easy to make, amazing flavor and texture!!! Wow!! Compliments to Chef Anne!!

I made these for a cookie swap and they were a hit. I also brought a batch into the office -- they disappeared in seconds and I was showered with compliments. Because the bars are so sweet and a bit crumbly, I actually cut the squares a tad bit smaller (perhaps more bite sized?.

I made the recipe as is and was looking forward to dig in after all that involved baking. As others have noted before it was just too sweet and too crumbly.
